Swanlake at hall For Cornwall | January 20
Start 2025 with the magic of Swan Lake at the Hall for Cornwall. Back after a stunning debut in 2024, Mergaliyev Classical Ballet presents this timeless tale of love, betrayal, and enchantment. With breathtaking choreography, a company of international dancers, and Tchaikovsky’s iconic score performed live, this 2-hour-40-minute production is a must-see.
St Pirans Festival | March 1
St Piran’s Day is a significant celebration in Cornwall, honouring the patron saint of tin miners. The festival originated as a tribute to tin miners but has grown into a widespread celebration of Cornwall’s greatness. Legend has it that St Piran, thrown into the sea in Ireland with a millstone, discovered tin in pouring from black rocks, inspiring the Cornish flag. Rattler Fest | April 25 – 26
Held at Healy’s Cider Farm, this celebration of all things Rattler is back for the 5th year. Delivering two days of vibrant music on the Rattler Main Stage, along with Après Ski Lodge Sessions, the Mr & Mrs Rattler Competition, Spring Break Party Games, and Celebrity DJs! Explore the Orchard Silent Disco, unwind at Pineapple Beach, and join in on the fun with everyone’s favourite – The Rattler Olympics!

Porthleven Food Festival | May 2 – 4
Porthleven’s annual, much-loved food festival is back, celebrating the best of the Cornish food and ‘bringing families and foodies together’! Packed with amazing local food vendors, fun chef demonstrations, and great music, this is definitely not a weekend to miss. Enjoy exploring the picturesque harbour of Porthleven while enjoying everything the festival has to offer.
Tunes In The Dunes | June 6 – 8
Tunes in the Dunes is a local music festival that just gets better and better every year, with previous headliners such as The Kaiser Chiefs, James Bay, and the Vaccines. This year grab your favourite Cornish cider and enjoy music from Busted, Jess Glynn and more! Get set for a fun-filled weekend of Tunes in the Dunes.

The Great Estate Festival | May 30 – June 1
Described as ‘The most rambunctious garden fête’. Happening at Scorrier House on the edge of Redruth from May 31st to June 1st, this family-friendly festival promises an unforgettable experience in the heart of Cornwall. Festival goers can look forward to live music, artist workshops, karaoke, great food, and lots of entertainment for the kids. Murdoch Day | June 14
Step into the legacy of William Murdoch at Murdoch Day 2024, a celebration dedicated to the pioneer behind the introduction of coal gas in lighting! Immerse yourself in the rich heritage and history of Redruth as we honour the innovations that have defined our town. This festival is a vibrant tapestry of captivating exhibits and lively performances, embodying the genuine spirit of our community.
Falmouth Sea Shanty Festival | June 13 – 15
Falmouth is brilliant at celebrating its nautical history and embracing Cornish heritage. The Sea Shanty Festival held in June every year is a nod to the past and a celebration of the songs of the past and present. During the festival, the whole town gets involved with dozens of venues throughout Falmouth hosting their own sea shanty celebrations throughout the weekend. Don’t miss out on one of the biggest maritime music festivals in Europe!
Rock oyster | July 24 – 27
Set along the stunning Camel Estuary, this festival is a celebration of Cornwall’s finest oysters, local produce, and vibrant culture. Enjoy a mix of Michelin-starred chefs hosting live cooking demos, an incredible line-up of live music, and plenty of family-friendly fun.

Stithians Show | july 14
This family-friendly agricultural show is the perfect blend of tradition and entertainment, creating an atmosphere where every visitor can find their own slice of enjoyment. With music, food, crafts, animals and displays/demonstrations for the whole family to enjoy.
Boardmasters | August 6 – 10
The most popular music festival in Cornwall, which takes place on Fistral Beach in Newquay, is set to return for another glorious weekend of sand, sea, surf and music. Stormzy, and Chase & Status headlined the festival last year, with many more acts joining them on the bill, this year you can look forward to The prodigy, London Grammar, and Kaiser Chiefs, with more being announced soon!

Tunes In The Park | August 21 – 24th
Set in the stunning surroundings of the Port Eliot Estate in St Germans, Tunes in the Park is a family-friendly festival. With an exciting line-up featuring big-name artists like Jess Glynne, Daniel Bedingfield, and Craig David, this event promises unforgettable live music, comedy, and wellness sessions. Perfect for all ages, it’s a celebration of entertainment, creativity, and community in the heart of Cornwall.
St Ives September Festival | September 13 – 27
St Ives is one of the most enchanting towns in Cornwall, becoming even more vibrant during its annual 15-day ‘extravaganza of music and arts.’ The festival transforms the picturesque seaside town into a vibrant hub of performances, films, open studios, workshops, talks, with an abundance of art. The festival is well worth the visit during your holiday in Cornwall.

Our most iconic event is returning this year, even bigger and better than ever! We’ve not yet announced this year’s theme, but we promise… it’s killer.
Eden Project Ice Skating | October
Usher in the festive season with Ice skating at the Eden Project. Glide across their beautiful indoor rink, surrounded by the stunning biomes and Christmas lights. Perfect for families, friends, or a romantic date, it’s an absolute seasonal highlight in Cornwall. The ice rink offers something for everyone, including skate aids for little ones. Lowender Festival | TBC
Lowender, the festival that celebrates Cornish culture and its Celtic connections, is returning to Redruth. Expect Cornish music, dance, song and fun for all the family with a host of international Celtic performers from Brittany, the Isle of Man, Ireland, Scotland and Wales. Music performances, dance sessions and workshops will be taking place in locations across Redruth town. Don’t miss out on this celebration of all things Cornish culture.
Christmas and New Years
Keep an eye out for the return of some of Cornwall’s most loved Christmas events, from Christmas markets to light switch-ons, and family-friendly activities throughout the festive season to join in with. Our annual Mistletoe market will be returning this year, as well as Truro’s Big Christmas Market, and Redruth in Lights – our local Christmas light switch-on, which will be held in November.
