French Wine Tasting in Cornwall: A Celebration of Terroirs and Flavours
Wine is a passion of ours. Over the years, we’ve explored the world’s finest regions, building a collection that reflects our love for the craft. With over 170 selections, we’ve even created a whole wine website to showcase our ever-growing list. Over the past four years, we’ve worked hard to create the perfect space for exceptional wine experiences. Alongside our leading wine bar in Cornwall, we’ve developed a wine tasting room where every glass is savoured in a setting that enhances the richness of each pour. We’re excited to share that passion with you through a very special event…
Come and join us for an unforgettable French wine tasting in Cornwall as we host our very first wine tasting evening — a celebration timed to coincide with the iconic Tour de France. While the cyclists race through France’s most famous regions, we’ll be sipping our way through them. This exclusive event invites you to experience the country’s finest wines without ever leaving Cornwall, as each glass tells the story of a different region.
We’ll begin and end the evening with two exceptional sparkling wines — your welcome and farewell pours — with five exquisite French wines in between, each paired with a perfectly matched food course. Think of it as a seven-course tasting menu, but with the wine as the star.

Why France Is Synonymous with Exceptional Wine?
France’s reputation for producing world-class wine is no accident — it’s the result of centuries of tradition, diverse landscapes, and a deep cultural reverence for the craft. From the rolling vineyards of Bordeaux to the chalky soils of Champagne, each region has honed its own distinct character, shaped by terroir, climate, and heritage.
French wine is not just about what’s in the bottle — it’s about the story behind it. The concept of terroir — the idea that a wine is a true expression of the land where it’s grown — is central to French winemaking philosophy. Add to that strict regional classifications (AOC), generations of expertise, and an unwavering commitment to quality, and it’s easy to see why France continues to lead the world – and why we’ve decided to kick off with a French wine tasting in Cornwall!
Whether it’s a crisp Loire Valley white, a silky Burgundy Pinot Noir, or a celebratory Champagne, French wines offer both elegance and complexity — and they’ve set the benchmark for excellence across the globe.
