The Best of Cornish…
We strive to provide diverse experiences for you, bringing the world to you right here in Cornwall. From delectable dishes to exquisite wines, our offerings span the globe. Yet, there are certain delights that we believe Cornwall does best, and we’re proud to showcase them. And, while we may be a bit biased, we truly believe that some of the finest culinary creations come from our own kitchen, crafted with the freshest Cornish ingredients.
Bees off honey
We are proud to use Bees Off, a sustainably sourced honey from local honey producers. Bees off are honey bee removers and rehomers based in Cornwall, protecting the essential habitats that are key to life itself.
The rescued bees are moved into apiaries within the Cornish countryside where they are cared for and produce delicious honey.
Each pot of honey is labelled with where the apiaries are based, so be assured your honey is local and sustainable.
You can sample Bees Off Honey at breakfast!
Mrs p’s jam
Paola Pascoe – more lovingly known as ‘Mrs P’ – is one of the original owners of the Penventon Park Hotel and the sole producer of our jam.
After over 50 years of making jam for us, she’s perfected the recipe. And still to this day, just like always, she continues to make all of the jam we serve.
Using Cornish fruit, some even coming from her own garden, it’s truly a taste of Cornwall.
Though Mrs P’s classic strawberry jam, raspberry jam and marmalade is iconic and a favourite amongst our locals and residents alike, it’s her more unique flavours that captures people attention. Kiwi, blueberry, mixed berry and gin, raspberry and Prosecco, peach to name a few… you think of a fruit and she can turn it into the most delectable and moreish jam you’ve ever tried.
You can sample Mrs P’s jam with our Afternoon Tea, Cream Tea and at breakfast!
