For Kids (and Big Kids)

Come rain or shine, Cornwall is brimming with activities and attractions for days out with the family. For some inspiration for what to do with the Children, or if you’re just a big kid yourself, here are some activities offering great fun for all!

Watch the big screen

A rainy day, or that one film you've been dying to see? You can walk or drive to the bottom of Redruth Town to the recently refurbished Regal Cinema, where the smell of popcorn entices you in. Sit back, unwind and enjoy the movie!

He's behind you!

Theatre lovers, visit the Hall For Cornwall in Truro and experience top shows, comedy and music! There are a range of different shows, both for the family, couples or friends. Whether you want to listen to Old School tunes or watch a show full of laughter and audience participation...there’s something for everyone. You can check out what’s on, on the Hall For Cornwall website.

Flash from the past!

Retro roller skates, neon headbands and big hair is back in fashion. Listen to 80s music as you skate around the Roller Rink in Redruth, with disco lights flashing around the room. This is the ultimate guilty pleasure if you love a bit of cheesy disco. If you're a complete beginner and have never skated before, here's your chance to pad up and give it a go!

For animal lovers

Close to home, just two miles from Penventon, it’s your chance to ride on horseback! Learn how to trot along the mineral trials and care for your own horse for the day, at Wheal Buller. Or go further afield to Newquay Zoo to watch and listen to the huge lion's wild roar, howls from the cheeky monkeys and other animals from all around the world!

For animal lovers

I am a 24 year old female who travelled with my partner…We found the most fantastic last minute deal online for this hotel. First impressions of the room were fantastic! Very spacious, a double bed, a single bed, a clean spacious marble bathroom, a sofa and telly, a huge wardrobe and a little table outside. Swimming pool, Jacuzzi and sauna were excellent, cannot comment on the gym as we did not use it.

The best part?! THE FOOD!!

We had the bbq ribs to begin. Oh my goodness. Probably the nicest things to ever have entered my mouth! So delicious and melt in your mouth!!! Followed by Beef Wellington for main which was nice too. Cocktails were delicious and reasonable prices.

The following morning we ordered room service breakfast. Eggs Royale was not on the order list but I had seen on one of the reviews, somebody had had it, so I wrote it down and tried my luck. Sure enough, it turned up :)!

Just wish we had longer at this hotel 🙁
