Charming Cornish Beaches

Take a stroll across the golden sand whilst the sea clambers gently over your feet. Let the sea air, rustle through your hair, as you embrace the beach life. Penventon is in the heart of Redruth and is centralized to many beaches, perfect if you fancy a mini road trip or just to take a beach walk nearby.



A small beach tucked away in the little village of Porthtowan, with many beach cafés to provide you with food and drink for a beach picnic, or you could bring your own BBQ for those warm, cosy evenings. Porthtowan has achieved the highest UK award for excellent beaches and water quality with now, a Blue Flag status!

One of the closest beaches to Penventon is Portreath. There are various surf shops and board hire services for those who want to try themselves at surfing. The small, sheltered beach, with soft sand, links to a coastal path. The walk takes you along the coastline, all the way to Hayle!

Part of the National Trust, Godrevy has sand dunes layering the back of the beach with areas constructed for rare plant species. Sit upon the sand dunes or on the beach and relax with Godrevy Lighthouse, perched, boldly on a stack in the distance. The beach has been battered over the years through coastal erosion, but still, is one of the most popular beaches. Godrevy merges with the dog-friendly beach, Gwithian.

With 3 miles of pure sand to walk across, Perranporth creates a great playground for families and couples!  Enjoy the day by playing beach games, or making quick dashes to the sea on those hot days, to dip your toes into the soothing sea. Behind the beach, are a range of restaurants and beach shops to buy your essentials!
