“…first class… full of marvelous choices cooked to perfection…”
We view dinner as an ‘event’ at The Penventon – something to savour and enjoy; a complete experience which offers an unrivalled level of cuisine and service of any Restaurant in Cornwall. Relax, let yourself be pampered. We’re known in the surrounding area as theplace to go for a special occasion, the place to go when it just has to be right.
Seasonality is the key to all our menus:
Dining with us you’ll find a new A La Carte Menu 3-4 times a year to reflect the changing season’s, as well as our Table d’hôte set menu being changed daily – offering the freshest of local Cornish produce. Why not visit some of our local suppliers.
Last year, we proudly welcomed on-board Joe Lado as Executive Chef (Multiple AA Rosette Awarded). With his Brigade, including Head Chef Cornishman Ryland Allan, a fusion of classic dishes along side stylish European combinations are erupting – using the finest, freshest, Cornish meats, fish, vegetables, fruits and dairy.
Joe’s passion for the raw ingredient, knowledge of producers, through to the finished dish is truly infectious! Supporting our local suppliers in Cornwall happily goes hand in hand with our environmentally friendly attitude.
Our reviews consistently praise our friendly, professional & helpful team – of which Restaurant Manager, Matt Livingstone, is justifiably proud.
Along with Assistant Restaurant Manager Louise Tibbett & Maitre d’Hôtel Richard Pearce, we aim to create a warm, friendly environment where you can enjoy a touch of class, elegance & professionalism reminiscent of a bygone era…
Whether you’ve only time to wander in for steak & chips, or you have a desire for the full gourmet experience, you’ll always be welcomed! You’ve surely always got time to check out our Dessert menu though?!
For those seeking a quiet night in, a selection of our most popular dishes is also available served to your room
