Sports massage is a deep tissue massage designed to assist the body in healing after injury or just to release the tension and pain in your aching muscles. The application of sports massage, prior to and after exercise may enhance performance, aid recovery and help prevent further injury. Sports massage is primarily stimulating and concentrates on the area of the body that is injured. It may:

* Release muscle tension and pain
* Improve posture and flexibility
After treatment, a range of relevant stretches and homecare advice can be given to help prolong the effects of the treatment.
