However, as the winter will soon be coming to an end, Spring will bring on a new lease of life, and what better way to expand your horizons than to surround ourselves with new taste sensations! Asparagus is a season special of which Penventon’s Kitchen takes full advantage of.
The Cornwall Asparagus festival is a one day event to celebrate the delicious green delicacy. With a great line up of cookery demonstrations, market stalls, tasters and recipes, you will be surprised how interesting a vegetable can be!
We have some fantastic local chefs lined up for our Chef’s Kitchen as well as a seasonal talk from one of Cornwall’s top asparagus Growers. Pick up hints and tips, learn new skills and hear some amazing stories, try our asparagus lunch menu or take a stroll around the luxurious hotel grounds
With live cookery demonstrations and a mix of key Cornish Suppliers in our Food Market, there’ll be plenty of opportunity to sample this great Cornish ingredient, as well as lots of other fresh, local produce to get your taste buds tingling.
Remember, the asparagus season is very short, so if you haven’t eaten fresh Cornish asparagus yet, this is a great time to try it!
